The beginning of the Christmas shopping season-Weekend-November 13th-14th
Can you believe the Holiday season is upon us? Are you ready to start shopping?
I, personally, love to shop all year round for Christmas gifts for my family and friends, but look forward to the holiday season to shop at particular places that I go to every year.
Unfortunately, I have to work this coming weekend and will be missing one of my favorite shopping excursions.
The Winter Art Festival which is held in Madison, November 13th-14th, is a great place to start your holiday shopping. If you have ever been to Art Fair on the Square, this is very similar, just paired down a bit. It is held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
I received a reminder in the mail this weekend with a $1.00 off postcard. To receive a coupon, visit www.artcraftwis.org and scroll down to click on the coupon. Scroll down a bit further and it will provide you with a list of artists who will be there. I am very disappointed that I will not be able to visit this great shopping opportunity.
If you are looking to make it a weekend excursion, Mount Horeb is putting on their “Holiday Craft Bonanza” as well. *This is only taking place on Saturday, November 13th. Take a drive South of Madison to visit this neat town, which notes itself as “Troll Capital of the World”. Visit www.trollway.com for add’l information about Mount Horeb and upcoming events. There are some really neat shops in Mount Horeb, including Woodworking store, antiques and other specialty shops.
Going even further south, you can stop in Beloit for the Wonderfest Arts and Crafts Expo. This is also only taking place on November 13th. It is located at: 1701 S. Riverside Drive or for add’l info. call:(608) 364-6834.
For a full list of Arts and Crafts Fairs around Wisconsin, go to: www.wistravel.com. It is unbelievable the amout of fairs that are going on throughout Wisconsin in the month of November!!
I will be letting you know of other specific ones that are coming up that I have been to in the past and have found to be fun to go to!
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND WHICH FAIRS YOU GO TO, FEEDBACK IS ALWAYS HELPFUL IN RESEARCHING AND INFORMING READERS OF WHAT TO VISIT IN THE FUTURE!
