Milwaukee Public Museum-Mummies of the World
This past Saturday I finally had the opportunity to experience the "Mummies of the World" exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum. I have always been intrigued with Anthropology and Archeology, taking many classes in college on the subject. This was my opportunity to see the mummies up close and personal and finally see what I had previously only read about.
I was very impressed with the exhibit and from the conversations I heard around me, many others were as well. It is only here for a limited time ending May 30, 2011, so if you have any interest in this part of our world history, I would highly suggest going to view the exhibition. I actually was disappointed at the end, hoping there had just been a little more to see, I wasn't ready to leave!
Click here for information and have an enjoyable time.
After viewing the mummies, we took a stroll down "Old Milwaukee," it had been many years since I did that, and it was fun to walk the cobbled stone streets and peek into the windows of each of the homes and businesses displayed.
There is so much to see at the Milwaukee Museum, make sure to make a day of it! There is food available at the museum or go out, have lunch and come back!
Have fun!!
