When my son, Zach, was in grade school, it was a rule that every summer we went on one educational trip. I decided every other year we would do a trip in state and the other years would be somewhere around the U.S. We visited the Wade House, Circus World, Old World Wisconsin, House on the Rock, etc. Out of state trips were to Virginia, Washington D.C., New York, Michigan, Missouri and Illinois. Oh, the memories and fun we had!! I don't think he really even realized how educational the trips were because of the laughs, campouts, etc. we experienced together.
